Islam Slimani, the Algerian football star, refused to take gifts from rich Arab people who want to reward Algerian players for their outstanding performances in the world cup 2014.

Islam’s statement was revealed by the journalist Waleed Abu Nada who tweeted that the star of Sporting Clube de Portugal stated that the Algerian national team awards will go straight to Gaza.

“They need it more than us,” Islam was reported to say.

He added: “Me and my teammates do not need that money. The Palestinian kids do.”

Among the notorious Rich Arabs that wanted to generously give money to the Algerian players is the Emarati artist Ahlam, who was reported to say she will provide 10 thousand dollars for each player who scores against Germany.

An Algerian millionaire also declared that he’ll give a Porsche car to Abdelmoumene Djabou, since he scored against Neuer, deemed as the best goalkeeper in the world right now.
