A Moroccan citizen opted for the “Blood Bucket Challenge” (video underneath) instead of the trending Water Bucket Challenge to raise awareness against traffic fatalities in Morocco.

The video underneath features the man, who goes by the name Hassan Hamdi, pouring over his head a blood-like substance before urging the Moroccans to not “waste their blood in car accidents and that they should value their blood.”

He said the following:

“I won’t take part in the Ice Water Challenge. Rather, I will take part in the Ice Blood Challenge to raise awareness against traffic fatalities in Morocco.”

It is worth reminding that every year in Morocco, around 4000 people die in traffic accidents while thousands others are wounded.

Even the British Foreign Office advises its nationals who plan on visiting Morocco that “accidents are especially frequent on busy major routes but also on narrower secondary roads. All drivers should take extra care when overtaking, particularly where there are no hard shoulders.”
