Morocco witnessed today a very sad event following a collision of a passenger train and a freight one, which unfortunately lead to the death of at least one person while 28 others were injured.
A communiqué from the national railway office (ONCF) stated that all passengers will be “taken care of”.
“An investigation was opened in order to determine the cause of this incident,” the statement added.
Initial reports from the following video as well as the images underneath illustrate that the passenger train, coming from Casablanca and heading to Fes, derailed and entered another railway before the collision.
