A Royal Air Maroc airplane was targeted by some “individuals” when its pilot was getting ready to land at the airport of Tangier.
It is not clear yet if the individuals were pointing the laser beam on purpose at the pilot’s cockpit to force him lose control of the airplane, or if they were doing it “just for fun.”
The pilot has reported the case to the local authorities yesterday.
It seems some people, in case they do it for fun, do not to understand how risky it is to point a laser at a landing airplane.
This is a very dangerous behavior as it may blind the pilot, and may lead to catastrophic disasters.
At landing, any slight curvature of the airplane may lead to a catastrophe…
