Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- There are a lot of stereotypes and myths about the Moroccan university of Al-Akhawayn in Ifrane (AUI) and its students, especially in a society that breaths out of stereotypes and misconceptions, a society where illiteracy floats around 50%.

It is this room of darkness that a 21-year-old man who goes by the name Wafi Abdouss is maneuvering, hoping through his vlogs (video blogs) to lift the fog on the various stereotypes the Ifrane based university, and its students in particular, are subject to.

Wafi aims with his vlogs to show his Moroccan compatriots who speak English the real Al-Akhawyan students, those who work behind the curtains helping needy people in the Middle-Atlas region of the country. Wafi hopes as well with his vlogs to raise awareness and shed the light from various angles on his university, far away from prejudices and misconceptions.

They young man’s vlogs have started off the right foot, with his first video receiving, until the very moment of writing these lines, 7,762 views and featuring on North Africa’s most visited news outlet, Hespress.com.
