The Moroccan Royal Air Forces have joined the raging battlefield in Yemen with the same 6 F-16 warplanes that were stationed in the United Arab Emirates, since the fight against the so-called Islamic State war begun.

The Moroccan authorities did confirm the piece of news, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and said that in response to the request of the “legitimate President of the Republic of Yemen” and  based on “the support to the legitimacy in Yemen and the solidarity with its supporters, as well as the constant commitment to defending the security of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Al Haram Sharif and that of the other countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, with which the Kingdom of Morocco is related by a multidimensional strategic partnership, the Kingdom of Morocco has decided to provide all forms of support to the coalition for support of legitimacy in Yemen, in the political, intelligence, logistical and military fields.”

“This support includes putting the Royal Air Forces, based in the brotherly United Arab Emirates, at the disposal of this coalition, to enable Yemen get out of the crisis, which it is involved in and the bloody situation it goes through, and to face any foreign conspiracy against the country and against the Arab and Gulf security,” Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs closed.
