Rabat, Morocco- Morocco’s new investigation police department, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), an offshoot of Morocco’s domestic intelligence agency (DGST), nabbed elements belonging to the so-called Islamic State in the city of Fes.

The BCIJ said the elements they clamped down on worked to hire and dispatch Moroccan volunteers to join the said terrorist organization.

Morocco’s Ministry of Interior added in a communiqué released in the wake of the arrest that the suspects had received a considerable amount of money to pay for the travel of the to-be-fighters.

The elements will be brought as soon as the investigation folds before justice.
