Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- The Saudi authorities shut down nine Moroccan hammams in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, local newspaper “Ajel” said today.

The Saudi authorities said the 9 hammams, which include massage  and health centers, were closed for different reasons.

Among the disclosed reasons for the shut down, the one reads “the lack of a conformity permit,” “the usage of an expired conformity permit”,”the lack of health certificates for workers in the centers,” among others.

The President of the Municipality of “Ulya” in Riyadh, Mr. Khalid Ruwaished, said that the authorities is conducting random visits to massage and health centers to make sure they operate in conformity with the local laws.
