Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- During his recent visit to France, King Mohammed VI took the opportunity to investigate himself the recent measures taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to improve Morocco’s consular services around the world, an initiative that was taken after a Moroccan living abroad met randomly the Moroccan monarch and complained to him about problems the Moroccan community faces with “incompetent and arrogant” consular staff.
In this vein, a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation thanked King Mohammed VI, “on behalf of the Moroccan community living abroad and the consular staff, for the interest that His Majesty grants to improve the quality of services offered to Moroccans abroad and the working conditions of the staff.”
“The Minister also highlighted the ongoing action plan and projects at the central administrations and in the consular network. These actions include notably the improvement of the conditions of reception and information, the simplification and modernization of consular services, cultural and social actions, and upgrading human resources,” the statement further noted.
