Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Various Train travelers either en route to Casablanca from Rabat, or vice-versa , said yesterday on Facebook that a major disaster was avoided near the pocket city of Temara, located around 13 kms away of Morocco’s capital Rabat, following two trains narrowly avoiding a head-on collision as the drivers of the locomotives managed to prevent a possible major train disaster.
Travelers who were on board shard a couple of Facebook posts and images of the case, initially “thanking God that the two trains were facing each other while driving on a straight line,” wondering “what would have happened if there was a curve instead?”
“It would have been a huge disaster,” one of the travelers said.
According to travelers, yesterday witnessed a huge delay in train timings, which lead to the almost head-on collision.
