Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In light of a speech he gave last week in the International University of Rabat, Morocco’s head of the government, Abdellilah Benkirane said that “Facebook is a new phenomenon in Morocco.”
“Facebook can be seen as a strong political current in Morocco, one without a clear ideology,” Benkirane stressed.
“But it [Facebook] has tremendously helped fight injustice [in Morocco].
“In all honesty, thanks to Facebook, justice was made in many cases, cases that normally would take another direction without the pressure on Facebook.
“I am saying this in all honesty as the head of the Moroccan government, and I take all responsibility in what I just said,” Benkirane noted.
