Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- While answering questions during a press conference held last week in the UN headquarters in New York following the adoption of Security Council resolution on Western Sahara, Sabri Boukadoum, the Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations said that his country did not make any pressures on the UN Secretary to remove references to Khat al-Shahid and Shabab Al Taghyir, two oppressed minor factions within the Front Polisario based in the refugee camps of Tindouf in Algeria, from paragraph 80 of an initial draft report on the Western Sahara issue.

“Algeria did not see that report [the draft report]. We only checked the official report when it was released. That’s the only report we have seen. I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“We never had access to that report [the draft report],” Sabri Boukadoum said.
