Rabat, Morocco (TMT)– Working hours for public sector employees in Morocco will be 9am to 3pm during Ramadan, while private sector companies are not required to follow the same timings.

Ramadan may begin either on June 6th or 7th in Morocco, depending on the results of moon-sighting.

The Moroccan Ministry of Religious Affairs and Habous appointed a moon-sighting commission for Ramadan.

The committee will meet after Maghrib prayer of the upcoming Sunday, 29 Sha’aban, to detect the crescent moon.
