Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In an interview given to EFE, Morocco’s head of the government said that, when he was appointed head of the government, king Mohammed VI asked him to start wearing the tie as, according to King Mohammed VI, ‘a prime minister without a tie, [its frowned upon]'”

“I started wearing the tie, and the problem is that I can’t get rid of it now.

“I got used to it.

“People do not know why I started wearing it.

“As a matter of fact, during the first government councils I presided over, I did not wear it.

“And then King Mohammed VI requested me to start wearing it, saying “a prime minister without a tie, [its frowned upon].”

“And then I told myself if King Mohammed VI said so, then I should wear it, end of the story,” Benkirane closed.
