RABAT- Over the past two days, poultry prices have significantly dropped, with one kilogram of chicken currently priced at 18 dirhams, down from nearly 30 dirhams in recent weeks.

The price drop is attributed to an increase in supply as many breeders resumed operations that were previously halted due to high production costs.

Despite the price drop, industry professionals maintain that it’s unlikely prices will return to pre-2022 levels, as production costs, impacted by higher feed prices, dictate a price no lower than 17 dirhams per kilogram.
