Morocco’s Supreme Council Report Reveals Huge Financial Support for RNI Party in 2021 Elections

A recent report by Morocco’s Supreme Council has shed light on the financial support received by Moroccan political parties.

The report said that the National Rally of Independents (RNI in French) party in the 2021 elections was allotted nearly a quarter of the total public electoral funds.

The report noted that the total public electoral funds for 2021 amounted to an astonishing 356 million dirhams.

the RNI party obtained more than 92 million dirhams in public funds, a substantial sum that was distributed across various election fronts. The breakdown of the funding shows over 36 million dirhams were allocated for the House of Representatives elections, around 3 million dirhams for the lower house elections, and more than 53 million dirhams were used for local elections.
