The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) has announced a pre-qualification tender for a 400-megawatt (MW) wind energy project in northern Morocco.
The project, known as Naseem Nord, will consist of a 150MW wind power station in Fahs-Anjra and Fnideq, as well as a 250MW wind farm in Tangier and Tetouan.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit pre-qualification documents by June 24th for the financing, construction, and operation of the wind farm.
This initiative aligns with Morocco’s goal to increase renewable energy capacity to 52% by 2030, up from the current 37.6%, through investments in solar and wind energy.
