Israeli tourists were forbidden to disembark in Tunisia during the stopover of the norwegian cruise line ship after a “last minute decision of the Tunisian government”, said Kevin Sheehan, head of Norwegian Cruise Line. In response, the Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled all its future stops in Tunisia.
While the Tunisian Ministry of Interior, reported in a statement on Monday, that 14 foreign tourists, without specifying their nationalities, were denied entry to Tunisia because they “did not fulfill the legal requirements for entry ” the cruise line company has even mounted the tone. “In response to this discriminatory practice, Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that it cancels all its remaining stops in Tunisia and that it will not return”.
“We want to send a strong message to Tunisia and ports around the world that we will not tolerate such acts of discrimination against our clients,” said Kevin Sheehan, head of the Norwegian Cruise Line.
