In the first quarter of 2024, Marrakesh Menara International Airport experienced a 22% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2023.
The airport saw 2,101,476 passengers, up from 1,720,926 the previous year. This growth is attributed to a higher aircraft occupancy rate, exceeding 90%, and the introduction of additional flights, including 10 new weekly international and four domestic frequencies.
Specifically, in March 2024, the airport welcomed 767,709 passengers, marking a 19% increase from March 2023.
Additionally, the most popular international route was Marrakesh to Paris Orly, which served 187,392 passengers.
Overall, Moroccan airports handled 6,873,487 passengers and 51,282 flights during this quarter, reflecting increases of 14% and 11% in passenger and flight numbers, respectively.
