Human Rights Watch Call On Spain to “Halt Spain Summary Pushbacks to Morocco”

Human Rights Watch released yesterday a document and a video that call upon Morocco’s neighbor country Spain to “halt the summary pushbacks to Morocco.”

The report said that “Spain should immediately halt summary returns of migrants to Morocco” from Melillia, and that  “Spain should also investigate evidence that Guardia Civil officers beat migrants at the border fence.”

The following video was released by Human Right Watch as well.

It is worth pointing out that just few days ago, the leading Spanish news outlet El Mundo said that a Spanish court of has agreed to open a case to investigate elements belonging to the Moroccan police as well as to its Spanish counterpart, commonly known in Spain as La Guardia Civil, for their actions in regards to Sub-Saharan migrants.
