After that The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria uploaded a video beheading the journalist James Foley and threatened of doing the same to another American journalist called Steven Sotloff, the President of the United States Barack Obama gave a speech where he warned the world of the dangers the terrorists may represent if not taken seriously.
Obama stated that “today the entire world is appalled by the murder of journalist Jim Foley,”
‘’ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just God would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day,” he added.
Obama went on further to say that the United States would continue its efforts to confront ISIS.
“The United States of America will do what we must to protect our people,” he said before adding that the U.S. “ will be vigilant, and we will be relentless.”
