At a press conference given at the end of the Council of the Moroccan government last meet up, which witnessed the presence of the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Rachid Belmokhtar and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Education and management training, Abdeladim El Guerrouj, it was announced that Morocco will allocate a budget of  DH 4 Billions this academic year to socially support the Moroccan students.

More than  DH 1.3 Billion will be allocated for scholarships while DH 300 Million will be allocated for the common fees of university campuses across the kingdom.

Another DH 34 Million will be dedicated to school transportation for the benefit of 89,000 students.

DH 942 Million will be allocated to school meals and on-campus dormitories for the benefit of 1.3 million student (school meals) and 147,000 beneficiaries (on-campus dormitories)

Concerning the direct financial support, commonly known in Morocco as the Taysir Program, a budget of DH 778 Million will be allocated to it, for the benefit of 812,000 students.

Last but not least, a budget of around DH 360 Million was allocated to the Royal initiative “One Million Schoolbags,” for an estimated 3.9 million beneficiaries.
