The leading Islamic scholar Sheick Fizazi, dubbed as a “Salafi” imam by mainstream Moroccan media, said that “donating organs is so Islamic, as it goes hand in hand with the tenets and principles of Islam.”
“Donating organs is Halal, a blessing to humanity,” Fizazi said.
” It is even allowed in Islam to donate your organs to non Muslims,” the man further noted.
“However, selling organs is Haram,” the man stressed.
It is worth reminding that Fizazi spent about 8 years behind bars after being linked to Casablanca’s 2003 terrorist attacks, before being released in 2011 after receiving a “royal pardon”.
Hitherto, the man went on to perform a Friday’s sermon and even lead the prayer before King Mohammed VI, Morocco’s commander of faithfuls, at Tariq Ibn Zyad Mosque in Tangier.
