Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-Few hours after the kick off of the “The Expo Milano 2015,” around 50000 people from all wakes of cultures assisted to an opera show that took place in front of Milan’s well-known Cathedral “Duomo di Milano.”

The opera show (check video underneath) was performed by two muezzins and an opera singer who were calling for prayer and singing respectively “Allah is great,” “Allah is great, Allah is the only God” and “Maria.”

The spectacle was a mix of art, music, and prayer calls produced by Archbishop Angelo Scola and the Caritas Internationalis organization with an aim “to symbolically mark the official entrance of the church in the program” of the said renowned expo.

While some Muslims in the post-gaze did not quite appreciate the show as they considered that “a prayer should be taken seriously and should not be song,” others did not quite share the same view as they thought the show “embodies the rapprochement between the two monotheistic religions, Islam and Christianity.”
