Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Minister of Interior, Mr. Hassad shed some light, yesterday in the Moroccan parliament, on the circumstances of the assault some teacher trainees were subject to, stressing that the decision to contain and halt the wave of protests of teacher trainees in some Moroccan cities [which was tragic and bloody in some cities like Inzeggan] was “lawful and and that it was taken in cooperation with the head of the government, stressing yet again that the protests were unauthorized.”
Nevertheless, Morocco’s head of the Government, Abdellilah Benkirane, refuted the statement live on air few minutes after Hassad’s intervention, angrily pointing his hand directly at the Moroccan Minister of Interior, even calling him by name while angrily saying, “Mr. Hassad, I will swear by Allah in front of all those people watching that I was not aware of what happened last Thursday, yet I stress that I am to be held responsible [political responsibility as head of the government].”
