Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The charges of Morocco’s public subsidy fund (Caisse de compensation) have dropped by 25% during the first quarter of 2016, the latest figures from the Moroccan Ministry of Governance and General Affairs show.

Namely the total costs stood this year at DH 3.22 million, against DH 4.27 million last year.

It is worth reminding that the current government made of reforming the public subsidy fund a priority since they won the last elections, despite the impact such reforms reform had on Moroccan citizens’ purchasing power and inflation.
