A feeble and divided opposition
For the opposition, the president’s health complications raise questions about his ability to act as a president of the country. Abdelaziz Bouteflika has suffered a stroke last April and was unable to resume his duties at the end of a long hospitalization in France, and he has rarely appeared in public since.
