According to this source, Sellal will be replaced in office by the Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi .

The 77 years old Bouteflika, announced his candidacy for president next April 17th, during one of his rare public appearances since last year.

A feeble and divided opposition

For the opposition, the president’s health complications raise questions about his ability to act as a president of the country. Abdelaziz Bouteflika has suffered a stroke last April and was unable to resume his duties at the end of a long hospitalization in France, and he has rarely appeared in public since.
