Moroccan authorities said they arrested yesterday 102 from around 600 illegal migrants attempting to enter Mellilia.
Officials from the Moroccan Ministry of Interior said the migrants swam through the Tigurfateen river to reach Mellilia.
The Moroccan authorities said also that another 28 migrants, besides the 102 arrested ones, were taken to a local hospital as they injured themselves while climbing the barbed wire surrounding the city.
The Moroccan Ministry of Interior added that five security members were also injured during the event.
