M. Lahcen Daoudi, Minister of High Education and Scientific Research, declared during the opening of the 23rd edition of the Student Internal Forum in Casablanca, that 18% of Moroccan students, graduating from national institutes and medical schools integrate foreign markets, particularly North American and European markets.
The minister made public the number of Moroccan students, which “does not exceed 615 thousands” in a population estimated to 40 millions. This very low number, shows that a large facet among Moroccans, do not further their education, to pull out of school at an early level.
This fact is better illustrated, once compared with another country; such as Iran, where the number of students goes beyond 5 millions, in a population estimated at 75 millions.
