The London based international electronic journal, Tourism-Review, stated in an touristic analysis, published yesterday that “Morocco is the most popular tourist destination in North Africa”.

The Kingdom continues to attract tourists from around the world, thanks to “its political stability, unlike the situation in other countries in the region, shaken by the events of the Arab Spring” stated in the Tourism-Review analysis.

The review considered the first 2014 touristic trimester as “catastrophic” in Egypt, “poor” in Tunisia and “good” in Morocco.

Worth mentioning that tourism has contributed with more than 8.6% to the Moroccan Gross Domestic Product in 2013, approximately $9.5 billion.

Tourism is also the second largest jobs provider in Morocco and is an important source of foreign currency beside Moroccans living abroad transfers.
