The Moroccan prefecture of Rabat has refused to accept the accreditation package of “Freedom Now”, the newly created NGO for defending the freedom of expression in Morocco.
The NGO is Composed of journalists and human rights activists; amongst which Ali Anouzla and Khadija Riadi are the sounding figures.
According to M. Maati Monjib, a founding member of the association in question, “the prefecture of Rabat refused to accept the registration folder of the organisation while providing no explanation”.
Worth mentioning that Morocco was ranked, by Reporters Without Borders, 136th (out of 180 countries) in terms of freedom of expression.
