Real Madrid announced in an official statement that it has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the transfer of German midfielder Toni Kroos. The latter signed a six year contract with the Merengue for an estimated fee of 20 million euros. According to some Spanish sources, he will earn a total of 5.3 million euros per year.
Toni Kroos will be presented at 5 pm Eastern European time and will be wearing jersey number 8. He already met up with the coaching staff in Madrid .
Bayern Chief Executive announced: “We thank Toni Kroos for his time in Munich. We have achieved great success with him here. We wish him and his family all the best in Madrid and with Real.”
During his time in the Bavarian capital, Kroos won 11 trophies, including the 2013 Champions League, 2 Bundesliga titles and recently the prestigious Club World Cup.
