Morocco’s Minister of Finance: Growth Rate in 2014 Estimated at 3.5%

Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, said that Morocco’s growth rate is expected to float around 3.5% in 2014, Leconomiste reported.

As a matter of fact, according to said source, the Moroccan Minister made the announcement just recently when presenting the semestrial assessment of Morocco’s achievements in regards to the 2014 Finance Act, commonly known in Morocco as la Loi de Finances, before the council of Government.

Mohamed Boussaid said that during the first half of 2014, corporate tax revenues increased by 7.8%, while those related to the tax incurred on Income and tax on domestic consumption rose by 2.8% and 12.2% respectively, Leconomiste relayed.
