The Moroccan monarch King Mohammed VI is expected to depart to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra (lesser pilgrimage) today and visit the tomb of prophet Mohammad, leading Moroccan Arabic news outlet Hespress reported.
King Mohammed VI is expected to meet during his visit to Saudi Arabia the Saudi monarch King Abdullah.
The Moroccan monarch was reported to be accompanied by the minister of Awqaf and Islamic affairs as well as a number of Moroccan personalities.
Hespress said that the last time King Mohammed VI performed the Umra happened back in October 2012.
