The Moroccan authorities arrested 5 Cypriots after they were caught trying to smuggle out of the country 15 kgs of Hashish.
The arrest happened last July 24, but did not go mainstream until very recently (last Thursday) after they appeared in a national court.
The 5 Cypriots (one of them has a British passport as well) were getting ready to fly to London, with each of the 5 friends carrying 3kgs of Hashish.
It is worth reminding that there is no Cyprus embassy in Morocco, which made the case a little bit more complicated for the 5 elements.
The sentences are expected normally to be heard during the month of September.
Until then, the 5 elements will be incarcerated in Fez’s jail.
