This year’s event will also witness the participation of a variety of folkloric music groups such as the band “Rokba” (the knee) from Zagora, Boidhar, Ahaydos, Gnawa (Alkhamlih), in addition to many local music groups. This edition’s guest of honor is none but the famous storyteller Abderrahim Al-Azaliya.

On the sidelines of the aforementioned activities, several symposia and cultural conferences that will revolve around the “Forms of Tolerance and Multiculturalism in some Forms of Popular Culture in the Oases”, “Human Rights and Popular Culture” and “The Means of Development of Tourism in the Oasis” are set to take place. The workshops will be supervised by professionals in the fields of agriculture, tourism and Human Development.

The organization assembly of the event aims throughout the festival to show the multiplicity and the richness of the popular culture of the oases of southeastern Morocco. This goes without mentioning that the organization tries to foster the region’s development throughout cross-linking the local population to its roots, in addition to highlighting the richness of some touristic places nearby, especially some eye-catching traditional palaces.
