U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Reiterates his Country’s Support to Morocco’s Autonomy Plan in the Sahara

Rabat- In an interview given to Moroccan Daily “Al Massae,” the U.S. ambassador to Morocco, Dwight Bush, has reiterated his country’s support to the Moroccan autonomy plan proposed by Morocco few years ago to end the the ongoing Sahara issue.

Bush said that the United States has repeatedly welcomed the plan and considers it “serious, realistic and credible”.

“We continue to consider as serious, realistic and credible the autonomy proposal made by Morocco to settle the dispute”, Bush told Al Massae.

While Bush stressed that the United States “has not changed at all” its stance on the ongoing issue, Bush insisted that “dialog remains the appropriate solution to find a solution,” further noting that his country backs the United Nation’s germane proposals and process.
