The leading Egyptian club Al-Ahly won their first African Confederation Cup after scoring in the nick of time against Ivorian team Sewe Sport.
At a time everybody taught Sewi Sport were to be declared winners of the prestigious African cup, and at a time the referee was getting ready to end what appeared to be a goalless second leg, Imed Metaab’s last-ditch effort in the 96th minute handed the Egyptians the cup.
It is worth reminding that the first leg game in Ivory Coast ended 2-1 in favor of Sewe Sport.
