The Moroccan Governing Council, under the chairmanship of Morocco’s head of the government Abdelilah Benkirane, did not bring forth to the discussion table the “Moulay Abdellah scandal affair” during this week’s meeting, as the investigation is still underway. Nevertheless, according to some sources close to the Justice and Development party (PJD), early results of the said investigation indicate that the Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports is heavily linked to the scandal and would be officially sacked in the coming days.
It is worth reminding that few days following the scandal, King Mohammed VI has suspended Mohammed Ouzzine from his duties at the head of the Ministry of Sports. King Mohammed VI has also given his orders to not allow Ouzzine attend the final match of the FIFA Club World Cup.
