“Any war that requires the suspension of reason as a necessity for support is a bad war.”

Norman Mailer

In the wake of the brutal massacre of 12 journalists and innocent souls in Paris, here is a short analysis of the terror attack.

Charlie Hebdo: I have the right to break taboos and convert words into satirical images..

Motive: Freedom of speech..

Reason: To offend and use the shock factor to shake the inexpressible..

Result: Muslims uproar, rage in the Muslim world, and 12 executed in a cold blood..

World’s Reaction: The whole world Condemned the attacks, and everyone becomes Charlie!

Muslims’ Reaction: Three camps..

  1. Condemning the attacks and denouncing the terrorists’ retort towards the journalists and those who were considered “collateral damage”..
  2. Charlie Hebdo brought it to itself and those “executed” deserved to die for insulting the Prophet of Islam..
  3. It is all a play and a global conspiracy against Islam and Muslims, which includes Zionists, French Jewish lobby and Freemasons, who have put the act together to distort the image of Muslims in Europe and Islam in general.. Basically, victimizing Muslims as usual and it is never our fault!

    My reaction:

1- This is an act of terrorism and I wholeheartedly sympathize with the families of the victims and I condemn such a barbaric and ruffian act against innocent souls.

2- Charlie Hebdo went beyond the limits of the margin of freedom of speech by authorizing its staff to offend what is considered taboos or red lines for others, regardless their ethnicity or background.. They should have learned that religious symbols and sanctities should never be a subject of satirical publications..

3- No one made an effort to dig for the real reasons behind the hatred in the Western hemisphere towards Muslims and Islam.. I mean, why Muslim immigrants are not welcome or made feel that way in countries of residence? Couldn’t they, hypothetically speaking, be a part of the tension? There is no smoke without fire, and there is no reaction without an action beforehand..

4- Being a Muslim myself, and lived in both Europe and the United States, I noticed that the Muslim community imposes on the society and governments its conditions to live amongst them and be part of the community, knowing that they deny the  exact same demands to non-Muslims when they visit our countries.. Moreover, many of what those Muslims demand cannot be granted even in their own countries, and they fled in search for hope, freedom, equality, better life for them and their kids in the West, so why they complain about their way of life? Didn’t they know that prior leaving their countries? It is like someone coming to your house and forcing you to abide by his own rules applied in his personal house.. Is this fair? I don’t think so..

5- I noticed that radicals and fundamentalists in the West are properly saturated by fundamental teachings of Islam, which leads them to joining terror networks, and the recent stats about the “Jihadis” who have joined ISIL are more from France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and the United Kingdom than any other Arab or Muslim country.. So, there must be something not quite right in the way the Muslim youth in the countries of residence are taught their own religion.. How comes a religion of peace turns to become a religion of violence and terror?

Neglecting our youth was a huge mistake.. We left to the religion traders and radical preachers to systematically feed them with Salafi hardcore rituals.. They were a ticking bomb that was awaiting to go off..

The result: A total anarchy in, what was supposed to be, their refuge from the atrocities of the their regimes and the hardship they were enduring.. Only to create their own version of totalitarianism in what, many thought, was considered “Home” to them.. Only the Muslim community that is capable of turning any society into a boxing ring, and we do that with perfection..

The day that we consider faith a personal matter and the land is for everyone to live in.. The day we comprehend that God reserved the right to judge people to HIMSELF only and did NOT appoint a watchdog over people’s actions.. The day we learn to be tolerants and accept the other and the different.. Then we can call ourselves a true representatives of our religion.. Until then, we are all conspiring against our own religion, which we are destroying from within..

    We are to blame..
