Following the terrorist attack against “Corinthia” Hotel, on Tuesday January 27th 2015, in the Libyan capital Tripoli, leaving several dead and injured, the Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemned this ignoble aggression “that aims at terrorizing innocent civilians, endangering security in Libya and undermining the ongoing national dialogue process, under the auspices of the United Nations Support Mission, in this brotherly country,” a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs read.

“The Kingdom of Morocco also expresses its sympathy and entire solidarity with the brotherly Libyan people, at this critical stage of their history and presents its sincere condolences and compassion to the families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery to the injured,” the statement further noted.

“While reiterating its categorical rejection of terrorism, in all its forms, and no matter what the motivations are, in the light of the serious threat which it poses to international peace and security, the Kingdom of Morocco calls for strengthening the international cooperation and coordination to fight this scourge and counter it with the necessary firmness,” the statement closed.
