Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- 16-year-old AC Milan wonderkid Hashim Mastour said in a recent interview with the Moroccan Royal Federation of Football (check video underneath), in the wake of the Moroccan national football team preparation sessions ahead of the upcoming African cup qualifier against Libya, that he is “very happy to be with the Atlas lions.”
“I am very happy to have made this decision. It is an honour for me to be part of the Moroccan team squad,” said Mastour in Moroccan dialect, mingled with an Italian accent.
“I chose the Atlas Lions because I feel more Moroccan. I am happy to be with the Moroccan national team,” the 16-year-old player stressed.
“I’ve chosen Morocco because it is my country, because my parents were happy with my choice,” added the young talent.
Mastour also said he is aware of the various teams that perform in the Moroccan national football league.
“At the Botola, I know clubs like Wydad, Raja, Kawkab, Tetouan and El Jadida,” Mastour noted.
“I will do everything to best represent my country. I thank my fans,” the young player said.
