Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A French national who moved to Marrakech to settle and opened a restaurant that goes by the name “Café Zwin Zwin” acknowledged in a reportage (video above) that she had to give bribes, in the form of gifts and money, to the local authorities of Marrakesh to get a license to sell alcohol products in her restaurant café.

“Nathalie. Your restaurant is one of the few ones in Marrakech to provide alcohol to customers. How did you manage to get such a license?” a French investigative journalist asked her.

“In Morocco, the administration is more complicated than in France and you must go through a circuitous route to go faster to reach your means. You should give bribes to firemen, security officials, hygiene workers, Caids and other senior officials to get to your means,” Nathalie said.
