Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- On the sidelines of a conference organized by the National Observatory for the Rights of Voters this Thursday in Rabat, a conference which throw a spotlight on the democratic transition in Morocco, Morocco’s Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said that “not everything in Morocco is beautiful and great.”

“I agree. There are many discrepancies in Morocco,” Othmani said.

“Morocco is lagging behind in many fields, including the Human Rights one, the democratization process, the social field, and the economical sector, taking into account that all of the aforementioned are related somehow,” Othmani noted.

“Many things could have gone through a faster track, but it did not,” Othmani said.

“Many things were not done the right way, but we need to keep hopeful. Hope is important in this regard,” Othmani stressed.
