Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Minister of Industry Moulay Hafid Lalami said today, amid a plenary session in the house of representatives of the Moroccan parliament, that “Morocco’s face masks production capacity has reached 10 million per day.”

Moulay Hafid Elalami also said that 23 textile companies produce state-sponsored face masks that cost US 0.08$ per unit.

Elalami noted that Morocco will start exporting face masks to other countries as the “country’s production capacity is now well beyond Morocco’s market needs.”

Elalami added that the decision to export face masks was taken yesterday.

Elalami also said that France has contacted Morocco to import face masks.

Elalami stressed that exports will be stopped at any time, in the event the aforementioned condition is no more satisfied.
