Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Real Valladolid defender Jawad El Yamiq, who was forced to leave the pitch during his team’s 30th La Liga match against Girona on Saturday due to a serious eye injury, said he is fine, further noting that he will be back soon on the pitch.
El Yamiq was taken to hospital for urgent treatment shortly before the end of the match. The Moroccan player’s condition was a cause for concern, and medical examinations were conducted to determine the extent of his eye injury.
Real Valladolid managed to secure a 1-0 victory against Girona.
Moroccan midfielder Selim Amallah was also involved in the party, playing 70 minutes before being substituted.
The win was a positive outcome for Valladolid in a bet to secure another season in Spain’s top flight.
