The Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property reported that 31,133 new businesses were established in the first four months of the current year.
The businesses consist of 21,024 corporate entities and 10,109 self-employed individuals.
The commercial sector dominated with a share of 36.77%, followed by construction, public works, and real estate activities (18.42%), various services (17.63%), and transportation (8.23%).
As per the legal structure, most businesses were single-partner limited liability companies (63.4%).
,In terms of regional distribution, the Casablanca-Settat region had the most new businesses with 9,091, ahead of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (4,672), and Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (3,765).
