Morocco has witnessed an increase in the number of tourists who visited the country during the first five months of this year, according to figures revealed by the Ministry of Tourism.

According to a communiqué, the number of tourists visiting Morocco reached 5.1 million by the end of May 2023, a growth of 20 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

The same statement also mentioned that this development positively affected tourism revenues, which, in turn, reached 32 million Dirhams by the end of April 2023, an increase of 40 percent compared to 2019.

According to the same statement, many major tourism markets contributed to this growth, especially the Spanish market (46 percent increase), the British market (29 percent increase), the Israeli market (158 percent increase), and the Italian market (10 percent increase).
