UDINE, ITALY – A Moroccan worker, aged 43, tragically died following a workplace accident at a factory near Udine. The worker, identified as A.S., lost his balance while cleaning the factory’s roof, located 15 meters high, and subsequently fell to his death.

The event disturbingly parallels a tragedy from last September in Milan, where a 52-year-old met a similar fate under alike circumstances.

Despite quick intervention by medical professionals, the severity of injuries incurred proved fatal. A.S. was declared dead at the scene. His body has been transferred to a local hospital’s morgue.

Security services have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, ensuring that all necessary workplace safety protocols were in place and followed. The factory’s operations have been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of this investigation.

The Moroccan community in Italy, in conjunction with the Moroccan Embassy, is making arrangements to repatriate the deceased worker’s body to his hometown in Morocco.
