Tourist Detained in Casablanca on Charges of Child Sexual Abuse

Casablanca police authorities have detained a 36 years old foreign tourist, hailing from an undisclosed Arab country, on allegations of sexually abusing minors. The man was arrested yesterday in the presence of three teenagers aged 16 to 17 after a hotel staff member became suspicious of his behavior and contacted local law enforcement.

The police, acting swiftly on the tip from the hotel, apprehended the suspect. The suspect was reportedly in the company of the three minors at the time of his arrest.

The victims have since been given medical attention and are currently receiving support from local child welfare services.

Casablanca Police Department issued a statement confirming they had begun an extensive investigation into the case.

Pending further investigation, the suspect faces serious charges including child sexual abuse and potentially, human trafficking. His identity remains undisclosed in order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
